Restored Missing Firefox Saved Passwords After Upgraded To Latest Version
Few days ago i have upgraded my Firefox browser to the latest 3.5.1 version, everything looks fine until i found that all my saved password is gone when finished upgrading. I dont know if this is one of Firefox bug or i’m made mistaken while upgrading, but finally i can restored all my Saved Passwords.
I have tried many ways including repaired my Firefox profile files (C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\defaults\profile) and find some hidden files, but still not worked, then i tried these:
First i rolling back my latest Firefox (3.5.1) to the previous version before upgraded. Uninstall Firefox, then reinstall with previous version, you can find all Firefox version in Filehippo
After installing the previous version, my Saved Passwords has restored, and to avoid missing again, i backup my Saved Passwords with Password Exporter Firefox add ons.
Then i started to upgrade again, and when finished, i restore my Saved Passwords backup in CSV format. Now i have my Saved Password restored in Firefox 3.5.1 (currently the latest version)

El Nino,
I did all the steps above, deleted 3.5.1, and then loaded 3.0.13 but no passwords were restored, and firefox will still not save my passwords.
I am going to try to do this again but go all the way back to 3.0 I hope this works…
well.. i’m afraid it have permanently lost since you change the firefox profile on your registry (based on your post in firefox forum)
Written a fantastic, not only describes the knowledge, perhaps we should feel happy, thank you
